Play for ECB Recreational XI

There is less than a week left for players to be nominated to play in the ECB 40 League next summer, representing the ECB Recreational XI alongside the 18 First Class counties, Scotland and the Netherlands in the domestic 40-over competition.

ECB are looking for talented youngsters or successful experienced players to play in a series of matches throughout 2010, beginning in May with a match against Surrey at The Brit Oval and including fixtures against Glamorgan, Lancashire, Worcestershire, Somerset and Sussex in the group stages of the ECB 40 League.

Nominations have already been requested from ECB Premier Leagues, MCC Young Cricketers, MCC UCCE's and Minor Counties.

If you are able to recommend someone who you feel has what it takes to play in the ECB 40 League and be tested against some of the very best in domestic cricket then send the players name, address, phone number and headline 2009 league statistics by 1700hrs on Tuesday 15 December to mary.godbeer@ecb.co.uk

Players shortlisted will be notified of the decision following a meeting on December 17 and invited to attend trials early in 2010.

Following the trials, successful players will be awarded a place in the squad and preparations for the season will get underway.
