Caythorpe continued their unbeaten run with a 34 run win over Wollaton to retain their position at the top of the Nottinghamshire Cricket Board Premier League.
Wollaton needed to score at three an over to overhaul Caythorpe's modest total of 151 for nine but a combination of tight bowling and sharp fielding made scoring difficult for the home side and by the 20th over they had crumbled to 34 for four.
John Gulson joined Paul McMahon and together they steered Wollaton into a better position, reaching the 38th over without further loss.
But spin duo Jim Hindson and Leon Botha soon put paid to any threat with four dismissals in four consecutive overs which became six in eight overs leaving Gulson stranded on 43 not out and Wollaton well short of the target with 117.
Botha finished with 3-14 while Hindson took 3-39 earning Caythorpe 20 valuable points to go 13 points clear of second-placed Kimberley Institute.
Kimberley Institute moved up four places in a week after a towering 155-run win over Gedling. Nick Langford and Nottinghamshire all rounder Samit Patel added 64 for the second wicket with Patel making 48 from just 52 deliveries.
Langford went for 24 and Tom Collishaw scored 11 before Josh Mangan continued his good form with a fluent 59 off 65 balls to leave the score at 185 for five. Jason Gorman ensured a sizzling end to the innings with six fours and six sixes, smashing 83 off 62 balls to boost Kimberley's total to an imposing 250 for nine.
In reply Greg Mike mimicked Gorman's style by smashing 33 of the first 35 runs scored before he was dismissed by Gorman in the seventh over.
The spin pairing of Patel (2-15) and Mangan (2-18) tied up the home side's middle order and restricted the score to 63 for six which stripped Gedling of confidence and any remaining options.
Jon Shaw then mopped up the tail to finish with 4-29, to give Kimberley the biggest winning margin of the week.
