Gough lifts Lullington
Lullington beat Chesterfield and the weather in the only game to be completed in the latest round of the Beechwood Saab ECB Premier League and move into second place.
Leaders Sandiacre were thwarted by the rain as were Ockbrook and Dunstall. Only seven overs were possible at Spondon and Elvaston's game with Quarndon was washed out altogether.
Sandiacre Town took 12 points from Alfreton after the visiting side managed to reach 227 for two in 49 overs before declaring.
Sandiacre’s James Chapman hit 32, John Trueman top scored with 104 not out in a man of the match performance. Ant Woolley assisted with 43 and Lloyd Hobson made 42 not out.
In reply, Alfreton took six points from the tie making 107 for five off their 26 overs before rain interrupted play.
Sandiacre’s Dan Wheeldon finished with figures of 3-37 before the match was abandoned.
Dunstall made 205 for seven against Ilkeston with John Jennings hitting 57 not out. In reply Ilkeston scored 113 for four, Dave Smit making 61 in a man of the match performance, Lyndell Richardson adding 32 and Dunstall's Scott Chilman finishing with figures of 3-26. Only 16 overs were played of the Ilkeston innings before rain stopped play.
Lullington Park were one of the few sides to take maximum points as the weather managed not to determine the outcome of this match.
The hosts gained 27 points from their score of 236 all out, Sam Eaton hitting 51, Jonny Shales making 55, Rudi Hillerman 30 and Ross Whitley finishing with 3-48 for Chesterfield.
In reply, the visitors hit 144 off 42 overs, Matt Fletcher posting 69 and Joe Cooper 33 however the man of the match performance from Alan Gough (5-15) ensured Lullington gained full points by bowling out the visiting side before the weather could affect them.
Ockbrook & Borrowash were affected by rain as they took nine points from the visit of Alvaston & Boulton. The hosts declared on 151 for eight after Matt Cassar made 51, Jonny Guthrie 33 and Nigel Mallander finishing with figures of 5-36 for A & B.
In reply the visitors reached 77 for five off 11 overs with Steve Attenborough taking 4-37, but rain caused the match to be abandoned giving Alvaston and Boulton nine points.
