A last ball strike over mid-wicket earned Craig Jennings the boundary Dunstall needed to inflict defeat over Lullington Park in a thrilling Beechwood Motor Group Derbyshire Premier Cricket League match at Deer Park.
The visitors needed 213 to overhaul Lullington whose unbeaten record had spanned 11 matches. Derbyshire's John Sadler, making his debut for Dunstall, made all the difference by hitting 92 and sharing a 141 run stand for the third wicket with Matt Gouldstone (56).
He was eventually caught and bowled by Ben Bridgen in a flurry of four wickets in six balls and his departure in the last over of the innings left Dunstall needing five from three balls. James Grice scrambled a single and Jennings dug out the next ball then smacked the last ball, a full toss towards the rope to secure 22 points for the win.
For Lullington, Ahmed Amla struck 57, Richard Green 35 and Jonathan Shales 52 not out while hero of the hour Jennings piled in with 5-41 and the heroic Scott Chilman, who had to have pain killing injections following a serious shoulder injury, finished with 3-59.
Lullington's defeat meant that the only unbeaten side left in the Premier League was leaders Ockbrook & Borrowash whose lead extended to 32 points following a six-wicket win over their nearest rivals, reigning champions Spondon.
Another big Matt Lineker innings of 123 ensured there were no slip-ups for Ockbrook after their bowlers had dismissed Spondon out for 202 with one ball of their 50 overs remaining.
Skipper Sam Kellogg tried to get them moving with 55 but while three other batsmen got beyond 30, they were unable to go on to a big score, held back by Gareth Young who took 4-51. Ockbrook got home with nine overs to spare.
Alvaston & Boulton dropped one place despite a winning draw against Alfreton who remained in third place. A & B batted first scoring 189 for 9 in the 50 overs. Achin Chand scored 57 and David Tittershill added 33 while Fahad Massood recorded 3-43, and Tom Young 3-53.
In reply, Alfreton (179-9) couldn't reach A & B's total in the 50 overs and settled for a losing draw. Andy Gwatkin hit 51 and Graham Bush 41 but it was A & B's bowlers who won the day, Anthony Woolley took 3-50 and Steve Ottewell recorded 4-56 earning him 3 men of the match points.
Chesterfield move further up the table after a win against Ticknall. Ticknall batted first and made 261-6, with Paul Borrington top scoring with 103, Luke Harvey 51 and Jonathan Thompstone 34 while Brian Gladwin (3-80) and Simon Lacey (3-81) were the pick of the bowlers.
In reply, Chesterfield (264-6) just passed Ticknall's total with one ball to spare. Andy McCarroll smashed 89 and Ross Whiteley 46. To rub salt into the wound, Ticknall had three points deducted from their score for slow over rates.
Any hopes that Sandiacre harboured of a title win in 2008 were effectively dashed after defeat against Quarndon meant a drop of two places down the table. The home side batted first and were all out for 201.
David Jordison scored 30 and Akhil Patel hit 44 while James Blackwell (4-65) and James Ede (4-62) took four wickets a piece for Quarndon. Quarndon replied scoring 204-5 in 51.3 overs. James Ede smashed 73 and Robin Williamson scored 34.
