Leaders hold on for draw
Derbyshire Premier League leaders Ockbrook & Borrowbush scraped a draw against third-placed Chesterfield on Saturday.
Chesterfield made 244 for eight in their 50 overs and reduced the front-runners to 167 for nine in reply.
Second-placed Sandiacre Town made ground on the leaders despite being held to a draw by Alfreton. Sandiacre posted 232 for six but their opponents stubbornly held on at 175 for eight.
Spondon dropped to fourth after losing by three wickets to Lullington Park who passed their 168 for nine in 35.1 overs.
Quarndon moved up to fifth thanks to a 107-run win over bottom side Ticknall who were 139 all out in reply to Quarndon’s 246 for six.
Alvaston & Boulton fell to sixth spot after a 22-run defeat to struggling Elvaston who were 183 all out but dismissed their opponents for 161.
Ilkeston Rutland went above opponents Dunstall thanks to an emphatic 10-wicket victory. Ilkeston required just 23.3 overs to chase down Dunstall’s meagre 122 all out.
