Lullington become the eighth different club in twelve seasons to lift the Beechwood Saab Derbyshire Premier League title.

Their victory consigned Matlock to relegation, after Dunstall's win over Alfreton. Ockbrook's victory over Spondon was in vain but clinched them the runners-up spot ahead of Sandiacre, who won at Chesterfield. A & B and Quarndon both won against Elvaston and Ilkeston.

Alvaston & Boulton were the only team in the Premier League to move up after their penultimate match. The home side moved into sixth place after a win batting first.

A & B made 251 for three in their 45 overs, with man of the match Hasan Adnan hitting 87 not out assisted by Chris McIlroy with 74.

Chesterfield then replied with 150 runs, before being dismissed by the A and B attack in 38.5 overs.

Chesterfield’s Alex Hibbert hit 30 but A and B’s Oliver Saffell (4-37) and Steve Ottewell (3-23) restricted Chesterfield to three points securing their fourth place finish for this season.

In the relegation clash at Dunstall, the visitors Elvaston took 15 points away with them. Elvaston are the only side to be sure of Division One cricket next season as they now trail Dunstall by 92 points, who currently lie in 11th place.

Elvaston made 215 all out with Archer hitting 47, J Cooke adding 43 and D Randle hitting 41. Dunstall’s John Jennings finished with 4-28 however his side could not find the runs needed for a win.

Dunstall finished on 214 for six with Scott Chilman hitting 34, James Benstead making 70 in a man of the match performance and Jennings added 51.

The host took 13 points from the tie, leaving them in 11th place, however none of the bottom five sides emerged from the weekend with their positions safe.

Ilkeston Rutland were the only side to move down the table after hosting top of the table Lullington.

This tie was always going to be hard for Ilkeston who were dismissed in 45.3 overs for 112, due to the man of the match performance from Alan Gough who finished with 6-25 for Lullington.

Lullington continued their winning form as they took 22 points from their visit to Ilkeston. The side reached their target in 24 overs, finishing on 113 for four with Jonny Shales hitting 38 not out. Ilkeston now need a win to secure safety at the other end of the table.

Ockbrook & Borrowash took 16 points from their match with Matlock as they hit 174 for eight in their reduced 25 overs. Jonny Guthrie made 37, Matt Cassar hit 94, in a man of the match performance and Mark Doyle finished with 4-50 for Matlock.

Matlock remain in the relegation battle on the final day of the season as they sit in 10th place, just eight points above Dunstall. Matlock took 5 points from their 83 for six, with Ockbrook’s Kevin Dean finishing with 3-21.

Sandiacre Town put themselves out of the title race when they were beaten at home to Quarndon. The hosts made 142 before being bowled out in 49 overs; John Trueman contributed with 31 but Quarndon’s Matt Dowman was on form with his 4-33.

Quarndon then did what they needed to secure their place in the Premier League for the 2011 season with their 22 points.

The side hit 143 for three with Matt Dowman featuring again with 60 in his man of the match performance whilst R Briscoe assisted on 54 in the sides 32.2 overs.
