Beechwood Derbyshire Premier League newcomers Rolls Royce were struggling to make the step up to the higher division posting their fifth defeat in five matches while Ockbrook continued their winning run in the latest round of matches
Rolls Royce hosted Spondon and on a slow pitch were bowled out for 70 in 40.2 overs. A strong bowling attack from Spondon led by Simon Lillie with 4-23 and assisted by Joe Ashdown who took 3-10 put Rolls Royce under pressure in the second innings.
Spondon made 72 for two in 21.4 overs, getting the 22 points from the match with Rolls Royce earning just the one.
The other newly promoted side, Aston-on-Trent were also in trouble at home against Sandiacre who took full points after making 229 for eight in 50 overs.
Dan Birch top scored with an unbeaten 55 while Anthony Woolley fell two short of a half century and both James Chapman and John Trueman reached the thirties with Aston's Mohammed Khan taking 3-53 and Shakeel Aslam 3-36.
The home side made 76 - one more than the previous week's total - in 24.3 overs, giving them four points. Sandiacre’s bowling attack were in great form with James Chapman taking 5-2 and John Jordison with 3-17
Chesterfield hosted Dunstall but were bowled out in 35.4 overs. Chesterfield managed three points from their total of 99 all out due to Dunstall’s bowling. Derbyshire's Gary Park took 3-19 for Dunstall and Craig Jennings finished with 3-39.
Dunstall replied with 100 for six in 33 overs, Park featuring again with 38 as did Craig Jennings unbeaten on 30, Luke Thomas finished with 3-27 giving Dunstall 22 points
Quarndon hosted Alvaston and Boulton and took 15 points from the tie hitting 148 for nine in 50 overs with Matt Dowman top scoring on 30 and sharing an opening stand of 56 with Robin Williamson.
Spinner Daryll Walker took 5-11 as the middle order fell away, three batsmen posting ducks. After crashing to 40 for five, A and B clung on for 94 for nine in 50 overs to earn the draw with Dowman finishing with 4-25.
Ockbrook were in blistering form once again taking the full 27 points against Lullington by posting 200 for nine in 50 overs on a bowler friendly track.
Matt Lineker hit 54 assisted by Matt Cassar on 47 and John Guthrie with 32. With the ball Lullington looked good, Paul Dawson taking 5-49 and George Chapman finishing with 3-65 but their batting was not so effective and crumbled to 118 all out in 43.3 overs. Andrew Goodwin hit 47 and then Kevin Dean finished with figures of 6-25 giving Ockbrook the win.
Ilkeston faced Alfreton at home this round and took 14 points from the winning draw after the home side reached 166 for eight in 50 overs. Carl Pengelly top scored on 45, whilst Jonathon Clarke took 3-38 alongside Tom Young on 3-31.
Alfreton fell three runs short of reaching their target making 164 for eight in 50 overs with John Aspinall hitting 33 to match Andy Gwatkin's total and Ian Banks taking 3-53 for Ilkeston
