Ockbrook & Borrowash suffered their first Beechwood Motor Group Derbyshire Premier League defeat of the season when middle of the table Ilkeston Rutland clinched a shock four wicket win away while Sandiacre and Spondon closed the gap with maximum-points wins.
The hosts batted first scoring 175 for eight with Matt Lineker scoring 40, Johnny Owen unbeaten on 38 and Ian Darlington closing on 36 not out while South African Jan Adendorff took the main bowling honours for Ilkeston taking 5-45.
In reply, Ilkeston (178 for six) took control and eased past their target in 45 overs. Kevin Leatherday scored 40 and Jan Adendorff added 45.
Sandiacre took a 27 point win against Dunstall after rattling up 232 for seven batting first. Akhil Patel scored a patient 64, Ian Parkin was still in at the close for 32 not out and overseas player Ryan McFadyean closed on 63 not out while South African Lucian Simpson took 3-56.
In reply, Dunstall succumbed to 175 all out in 44.5 overs. John Sadler hit 68, Ryan McFadyean took 3-61 and James Chapman recorded 3-24.
The two bottom sides went head to head and Elvaston came out on top. The visitors, Ticknall batted first scoring 182 all out.
Eddy Ikin hit 47, Pakistani player Tanvir Ahmed added 31 and captain Graham Chamberlain scored 43 while Paul Birch took 3-12. Elvaston replied scoring 183 for four in 36 overs. Elvaston's captain Nick Briars scored 47 and Australian Brett Crichton hit 37.
Spondon easily got a maximum point win against Alfreton after posting a daunting 337 for six in the 50 overs.
Ben Ashdown amassed 122, Sam Kellogg hit 58 and Joe Ashdown closed on 64 not out while Ben Slater recorded 3-75. In reply, Alfreton were all out for 88, Neil Gunter took 3-41 and Chris Windmill bagged 4-8.
Lullington got the best of a winning draw against Alvaston & Boulton. Lullington batted first scoring 245 for eight, Tom Poynton blasted 72 and Richard Green added 68 while Daryl Walker bowled well taking 4-72.
A & B struggled to reply scoring 176 for seven in their innings. Chris McIlroy scored 48, Anthony Woolley hit 36 and Lance McKenzie 30 not out.
