Paul drops points
Paul’s lead over St Just was reduced to 17 points as both teams won their Jolly’s Drinks ECB Cornwall Premier League games.
Paul dropped a couple of points after only making 161 against Falmouth. The visitors were bundled out however for 91 in reply with Justin Stephens taking four for 10.
Meanwhile St Just took maximum points at neighbours Penzance. After St Just declared on 305 for 3 Penzance were bowled out for 191, with Gary Thomas taking 6 wickets to add to his 84 with the bat.
Truro moved up to third with a 91 run win over Callington. Truro made 250 for eight with Tom Sharp making 81. Callington made 159 in reply.
Grampound Road drew their game with Newquay. The Road hit 266 for seven with Adam Cocking making 77. Newquay ended on 199 for nine with Corey Harris hitting 93.
Werrington defeated St Austell by eight wickets. Sean Hooper made 75 in St Austell’s 159 all out. Ben Smeeth responded with 75 not out for the home team who made 160 for two.
