St Just were held to a draw at home by Paul but their grip over the Jolly's Drinks Cornwall Cricket League continues to gather strength.
The Cape Road side, who have four successive league championships to their name, have a 23-point lead at the top of the table after taking 14 points from their eighth game to Paul's nine.
St Just made 245 for seven with Paul replying with 189 for six in their 55 overs. Neil Curnow (55) and Gary Thomas (35) brought the 100 up after David Roberts was dismissed for 14.
Gavin Edwards then made 63 and Mark George scored 30 to add 84 for the sixth wicket.
Steve Richards took 3-47 and Dave Twigg claimed 2-67. Craig Osborne opened with 48 for Paul before Richards (31) and Kevin Snell (36) added 46 for the fifth wicket to salvage the draw.
Falmouth remain third after a five-wicket win at Werrington. The home side made a below par 192 for nine. Ben Smeeth (39) and Mark Horwell (52) added 76 for the first wicket.
Only Alex Smeeth of the rest, with 46, made much impression as Jon Udy took 5-32 from seven overs.
Gordon Whorlow opened with 49 for Falmouth and shared an 81-run third wicket partnership with Antony Angove to lay the base for victory.
Angove was out shortly before the end for 55 with Richard Kellow 29 not out as the win came with five balls to spare.
County skipper Tom Sharp hit form to see his side to a 22-run win over visiting St Austell.
He was dismissed for 99 as Truro totalled 245 for four. After Tim Marrion made 21 and Peter Sharland scored 31, Sharp and Chris Martin (56) put on 130 for the third wicket.
St Austell got to 153 for three before losing Matt Rowe for 75.
Mike Bone hit 67 but the end came at 223 all out with 15 balls remaining. Sharp took 5-54 and Aaron Pennell had figures of 3-66.
Grampound Road defeated bottom club Newquay by 74 runs after making 287 for six at the Playing Field.
Mpho Sekhoto hit 101 with opener Tom Hughes making 45 and Chris Hunkin 48. Sekhoto and Hunkin put on 141 for the third wicket.
Newquay skipper Rob Harrison made 58, Adam Cocking 39 and Joe Crane 32 as they were bowled out in the 52nd over. Ben Rowse took 4-53 and Hunkin claimed 4-59.
