International-best figures of 3-9 for off-spinner Erin Osbourne aided Australia's nine-wicket victory that booked them a place in the final

The Southern Stars’ nine-wicket victory with comfortably more than half their overs left took them to eight points in the Super Six table, thus earning them a place in Sunday’s showpiece at the same venue with a game to spare.

Off-spinner Osborne returned international-best figures of 10-6-9-3 and seamer Hunter’s were 6-3-6-1 as Sri Lanka were dismissed for 131 in the 46th over after being put in. Number three Deepika Rasangika’s 43 was their only significant score.

Opener Rachael Haynes’ 61-ball 71 not out, including nine fours and two sixes, sped Australia to their target inside 23 overs. Meg Lanning’s 36 had dominated an opening stand of 55 before Jess Cameron made a measured 22.

Australia face West Indies, who they could yet meet in the final, on Wednesday when Sri Lanka play South Africa.
