Brighton College top of the class
Defending champions Brighton College took a step towards retaining their Lady Taverners Under-15 title after winning the Sussex final.
Nineteen schools started out in the Sussex competition with Brighton College, Millais, Oathall Community College, Ratton and Worthing High battling through to the final.
Once there each team played each other with Brighton College the stand out side, winning all four of their matches to win the Sussex title and progress to the regional final at the end of April.
Sussex Women and Girls Community Coach, Charlotte Burton, said: “The standard of cricket played by all the schools was exceptionally high this year.
"There was some very intelligent cricket played by the girls and this competition has shown how much girls' cricket has moved on within the schools in Sussex.
"It is also great to see so many schools involved again, especially a number of new schools who have never taken part in the competition before.”
