Following on from another famous batsman of the same surname, Clare Boycott made history this season when she became the first person to score a double hundred in the Women's Midlands Cricket League.
The right-hander finished unbeaten on 232 - an innings which left her both surprised and a little fatigued.
"I was very tired and I can’t believe I got that many runs," she said.
Boycott represented Worcestershire at county age group level and at 15 first played for the the senior women’s county team.
Through the ECB talent ID process Boycott has also taken part in the Junior Super 2s.
The WML was established in 2003 and now has over 30 women’s teams taking part. The aim of the league is to help clubs with women’s sections play in a competitive but friendly environment.
