Counties aim for final push

The best young women cricketers will move a step closer to picking up some silverware this weekend.

The semi-finals of the LV= Under-17, Under-15 and Under-13 County Championships are due to be played on Saturday with counties eyeing a place in the finals which will be held on September 19.

In the under-17 competition, Yorkshire and due to meet Devon at Frenchay Cricket Club while Sussex take on Warwickshire at Moseley in the second semi.

At under-15 level, Wales take on Kent at Bishop's Stortford and Hampshire face Sussex at Totton & Eling.

To complete a busy afternoon, in the under-13 section Warwickshire play Surrey at Coalpit Cricket Club and Devon meet Yorkshire at Frenchay.
