Berkshire crowned Twenty20 queens

Berkshire show off the ECB Women's Twenty20 Cup after beating Yorkshire by 46 runs in the final at Bishop’s Stortford
Berkshire won the ECB Women's Twenty20 Cup after dominating the finals day at Bishop’s Stortford Cricket Club on Saturday.
Claire Taylor's 65 not out set up Berkshire's semi-final win against Kent, while Katherine Brunt was the star of Yorkshire's victory over Sussex to secure their place in the final.
Berkshire skipper Isa Guha elected to bat first in the final and her team posted 173 for six in 20 overs.
Despite the partnership of England duo Brunt (32) and Danielle Hazell (45 not out), Yorkshire could not reach the target and finished on 127 for five as Berkshire were crowned 2010 champions.
Clare Connor, head of women’s cricket, said: “Twenty20 finals day was a great end to the women's domestic season. All four teams showed how they had made it to the final stages of this competition.
“Whilst several of the England players dominated during the day, there were some exceptional performances from many other players, notably Hannah Buck from Yorkshire and 16-year-old Alice MacLeod.
"Her (MacLeod’s) well-composed 61 for Berkshire in the final showed why she has been selected to join the England Women’s Academy programme for the coming winter.
“I'd like to congratulate Berkshire for winning the competition-they have played consistently good cricket all year.”
Semi-final One: Berkshire beat Kent by 29 runs
Semi-final Two: Yorkshire beat Sussex by 10 wickets
Third/fourth play-off: Sussex beat Kent by four wickets
