Girls comps open for entries

Now is the time to get your club entered for the Lady Taverners ECB girls competitions for summer 2011 - across three different age groups.

The Lady Taverners, a fundraising arm of the Lord’s Taverners, have sponsored this competition since 2006. Already over 48,000 girls have participated, and by the end of 2013 we hope a further 49,000 girls will have taken part.

Your club has an opportunity in three different age groups in 2011, and there should be a format to suit your club.

The format is 8-a-side but vary in rules and format to reflect age groups and standards:

NEW FOR 2011 – Under 11

• 8 a side
• Incrediball
• Pairs cricket
• County & Regional Finals

U13 competition

• 8 a side
• Incrediball
• Inter-cricket
• County, Regional and National Finals

U15 Competition

• 8 a side
• Hardball
• Inter Cricket rules (amended)
• County, Regional and National Finals

County Finals are to be played by July 22, with regional finals played the week beginning August 1.

There will then be national finals played on Wednesday August 24.
