Junior Elite Programme expanded

The Junior Elite Programme has been expanded with the introduction of a new Junior Super 2s competition.

The competition will feature the leading 26 players across the country who are aged between 13-15 years old.

The inaugural competition will take place at Brighton College on May 26 and 27 when the teams will play one 50-over match and two Twenty20 games.

The Junior Super 4s, which was won last year by Diamonds, is scheduled for August 18-21 at Wellington College in Berkshire.

Although primarily for the best 16-19 year olds, there are slots available for any outstanding younger players. These squads will be selected by July 1.

In the meantime, 46 players have been selected for the Junior Super 4s Winter Training Programme which will be held at Shrewsbury School over three weekends.
