Loughton captain Beth Wild, one of three centurions, sweeps into the legside during her side's win over Leeds & Broomfield

Beth Wild, Lauren Onojaife and Laura Owen all smashed centuries as Loughton hammered Leeds & Broomfield by a whopping 435 runs in the Women's Cricket Southern League.

The three centurions helped the Essex side amass a colossal 521 for three from their 50 overs - a score their opponents got nowhere near to as they were bowled out for 86.

Loughton opener Laura Boorman set the platform with 67 from just 36 balls before captain Wild played like her surname suggests in hitting a ton from 66 balls including 17 boundaries.

After she retired, Onojaife and Owen picked up the baton and propelled Loughton towards an astonishing total.

Onojaife, clearly benefitting from a winter playing in Australia, brought up her century from just 42 balls with 16 fours and two sixes, soon followed by Owen who reached three figures off the final ball of the innings.

Loughton were then ruthless with the ball, typified by Hannah Courtnell who dismissed both openers but she was upstaged by Catherine Dalton who finished with 4-14 from four overs.
