The Women’s Midlands League are currently looking for sponsorship for the 2010 season.
The WML was established in 2002 to service the demand for more competitive cricket for eight sporadic teams across the Midlands.
Due to rapid growth, the 2010 season will see 38 teams representing 11 counties competing for promotion - the champions of the league secure a place in the Women’s National Premier League for the North.
On a regional and a national basis there has been a dramatic increase in participation, volunteers’ roles and the numbers of clubs. The increase is in part due to the recent successes of the England Women’s team and the investment of the ECB and additional stakeholders into Women’s and girls’ development.
