Edwards delighted with warm-up win

Laura Marsh was the pick of the England bowling attack that captain Charlotte Edwards said "gave one of the best performances we have seen"
England women’s captain Charlotte Edwards praised her side’s tight bowling after they won their final Twenty20 warm-up match against Brentwood School by eight runs.
The game against the boys first XI was the last chance for players to impress ahead of the forthcoming NatWest Women’s T20 Series against New Zealand.
Edwards said: “The bowlers gave one of the best performances we have seen in the warm-up matches against hard-hitting batters.
"We have won all three warm-up matches against tough opposition - our confidence is high going into the series against New Zealand”.
Lydia Greenway top-scored for England with 37 and put in a solid middle-order performance with Beth Morgan, who hit 30, to lead England to 148 for five.
Brentwood boys were held to 140 for four by England with a wicket apiece for Laura Marsh, Anya Shrubsole and Nicky Shaw. Marsh was the pick of the bunch taking 1-19 on the dry, turning wicket.
England's first T20 international against the White Ferns is on Tuesday at the County Ground, Chelmsford, just before the Friends Provident t20 match between Essex and Sussex.
