Momentum is with England - Gunn

Jenny Gunn is confident England can exploit the different conditions at Visakhapatnam on Wednesday against India
England women's all-rounder Jenny Gunn believes the one-day series with India has swung in their favour ahead of the potentially pivotal third match on Wednesday.
England levelled the five-match series at 1-1 with a strong team performance in a three-run victory in Bangalore on Sunday.
After fighting back from a 35-run defeat in the opening match and with the tour moving to the greener outfields of Visakhapatnam, Gunn is confident the conditions and momentum are now with the tourists.
“Here at Visakhapatnam it's a lot more humid. Bangalore was a dry heat, but here it is humid and a bit more breezy,” she told ecb.co.uk.
“These conditions suit us better than the Indians. The outfield is green and it doesn’t look like we’re in India at the moment.
"I think the conditions will favour us, especially with the swing of Katherine Brunt and Isa Guha. I think they will be a real threat. It's quite similar to home conditions.”
Brunt claimed five wickets in the final game before moving away from Bangalore, but Gunn was equally influential.
After the departure from the tour of opener Sarah Taylor to injury, Gunn was bumped up to third in the order and thrived on the added responsibility by hitting 64.
She helped England secure victory with a fine last over that saw two India wickets fall, capping an impressive bowling display that has boosted the team's belief.
“It was just a great team performance,” she said. “After our bowling performance, we know we can go at them again and our batting is improving every game.
“Tomorrow is a massive game, especially after it went 1-1. We want to go 2-1 up and continue and it will be hard for them to come from 2-1 down.”
Gunn’s performances with the bat and ball underlined her importance to the side’s ambition of securing a first series victory on Indian soil.
And, despite being just 23, her experience - she made her international debut as a 17-year-old and has toured India twice previously - is proving crucial to England.
As well as batting at three, Gunn thrived on delivering the crucial last over.
“It's disappointing that Sarah had to go home, but to be given the opportunity to bat at three, I was really happy to score some runs and contribute for the team.
“And to follow it up with two wickets at the death was very pleasing. I think the scoreboard was wrong, I didn't realise it was that close, or may be my eyesight was not that great in the heat!
"But Katherine Brunt got us into a great position so it made my life easier.”
