TwelfthMan: My account
England will play the following warm-up games after arrival at their training base in mid-February:
February 27: v New South Wales Breakers
March 2: v Australia, Village Green, Randwich - Scorecard - Australia v England, World Cup warm-up match, March 2 2009 (26 KB)
March 4: v West Indies, Raby 1, Campbelltown - Scorecard - England v West Indies, World Cup warm-up match, March 4 2009 (29 KB)
The details for the group stage, the super six stage and the finals of the women's World Cup 2009 can be found below.
The top three ranked teams in each group are seeded 1, 2 and 3. They retain this seeding for the Super sixes stage irrespective of whether they finish first, second or third in their group, unless they are knocked out by team four in their group. In this instance, team four replaces the position of the team they knock out.
For example, if Pakistan (team four) won Group B and India came second and England came third, for the purpose of the super sixes India would still be B1, England would still be B2 and Pakistan would become B3 (as they would have knocked out Sri Lanka).
This formula facilitates ease of logistical operations and provides spectators and television with certainty as to the location of team matches.

Super six stage
Provided they qualify, each of the top three teams will retain its ranking from the group stage through to the Super Sixes, regardless of their finishing position in the group. For example, Australia will be ranked A1 whether they finish first, second or third at the end of the group stage. If the fourth ranked team in a group qualifies for the Super Six stage, they will adopt the ranking of the team that they have replaced. For example, if South Africa qualifies at the expense of Australia, South Africa would follow the fixtures for A1 in the Super Six stage.
