Sarah Taylor has warned her England team-mates that their one-day series is not won yet despite convincing wins in the first two matches against Australia.
Taylor made 68 in a straight-forward nine-wicket win at Chelmsford on Monday and followed it up with a stylish run-a-ball 120 yesterday to help the hosts to a 55-run win and 2-0 lead in the five-match NatWest Women's Series.
And Taylor is keen to put the series to bed in the third ODI at Stratford-upon-Avon on Friday.
“It’s still all to play for, we’ve got three games left,” Taylor told ECBtv. “It’s just a good solid performance so I’m hoping we can continue it.
“We’ll be looking to close the series out as soon as possible but you never know with the Australians.
“We wanted to put a marker down at the start of this series so all credit to our bowlers and our batsmen for getting the two wins.”

Sarah Taylor celebrates reaching her century as her 120 helps England beat Australia by 55 runs in the second ODI
Taylor’s sublime form could not have come at a better time for England, with influential skipper Charlotte Edwards currently missing from the team with an illness.
Nicky Shaw has picked up the leadership duties, but it is Taylor who has ensured England’s batting remains strong.
“That probably was (my best ODI innings), considering the situation we were in with Charlotte (Edwards) not in the side,” Taylor added. “The responsibility was there for one of our top four or five batsmen to stick out there.
“I didn’t feel that good until 60-odd, but I really enjoyed it and all the batsmen that came in with me did fantastically.
“Nicky’s done really well - we’ve all been behind her. We know what a tough job it is and she trusts us with our decisions on the field which is nice.”

Your comments
Sarah, I too agree with Alanna's comment. You were a pleasure to watch, great shot selections & running between wickets; not forgetting your (increasingly)commanding presence behind the stumps. It was also refreshing to see you accept your Player of the Match award, with grace & humility; a true team player, apparently taking a leave out of Chalotte's (and Clare's before her) book of graceful acceptance. Good luck with the Ashes, I'll be there to hopefully see you girls make us proud again......
