Danielle Wyatt insists England will head into their five-match Twenty20 series against Australia with renewed belief following their success in the final one-day international at the WACA.
The tourists were 2-0 down heading into the third 50-over game in Perth, but showed their character to claim a seven-wicket victory.
All-rounder Wyatt, who contributed a quickfire 30 at the top of the order as England chased down 213 with two overs to spare, said the win had provided the team with a welcome boost ahead of Wednesday's opening Twenty20 clash.
“It’s very important that we got a win under our belt and it has definitely given us momentum going into the Twenty20 series,” she told ecb.co.uk/video.
“We had a chat before the game about how important this game was, so it’s a great win.”

Danielle Wyatt is looking to maintain the form she displayed in Sunday's final one-day international against Australia
Wyatt was satisfied with her personal contribution after getting England’s innings off to a flying start alongside Heather Knight.
“I got my highest score for England so I’ll be looking to carry that on into the Twenty20’s,” she added.
“I just went out there with intent really and tried to get the sweepers out as soon as possible. I hit the bad ball for four and it paid off, but I was disappointed to get run out.
“In the first two games I was a bit too defensive and didn’t play my game, so I just went out there with no fear and tried to be brave - that’s what we’ve talked about in our team meetings."
England’s next two fixtures will take place prior to the men’s Twenty20 internationals at the Adelaide Oval and MCG and Wyatt cannot wait for the action to begin.
“I’m really excited and looking forward to it,” she said. “The MCG looks so big on telly. I just can’t wait to get there and experience the world-class facilities.
“Then there’s an Ashes Test match to finish it all off, what else can you ask for?”
Batter Lydia Greenway is also feeling positive ahead of the Twenty20 series.
Greenway top-scored with 59 in Sunday’s victory and agrees with Wyatt’s assessment of the result’s importance.
“I think we have done really well to come back after losing the first two games,” she said.
“It could have been easy for us to just roll over and let them have another win, but having a win has really given us a lot of confidence.
“It’s a change in formats now so anything can happen. We’ve got to make sure we adjust quickly and get a good start in the series.”
