Lady Taverners T20 finalists decided
Banbury, Alberbury, Freeland and Bells Yew Green have secured their places in the national finals of the girls-only Lady Taverners knockout T20 competitions at Under-13 and Under-15 age groups.
Banbury will tackle Alberbury in the U13s final, while Freeland are set to tackle Bells Yew Green in the U15s; the encounters will take place on August 21 at Campbell Park in Milton Keynes.
Annually approximately 7,000 girls have the chance to play in Lady Taverners Competitions. They are essential for the development of new players in cricket and help support Girls only competition in safe and enjoyable environments.
The Lady Taverners have supported Girls Cricket since 2003 and have seen over 60,000 girls take part in the competition in this time. It has also helped bring cricket for girls into schools and supported the development of Girls only sections in Cricket Clubs throughout the Country
Some notable performances and talented cricketers have been introduced to cricket as a direct result of this relationship including current England players Holly Colvin (Sussex) and Anya Shrubsole (Somerset)

11am - U13 National T20 final - Banbury CC (Oxfordshire) v Alberbury CC (Shropshire)
2pm - U15 National T20 final - Freeland CC (Oxfordshire) v Bells Yew Green CC (Sussex)
