Bangladesh in Tamim U-turn
Bangladesh have added Tamim Iqbal to their squad for this month’s Asia Cup.
The powerful opening batsman, who has been struggling with a groin injury, was left out of the Tigers initial squad and named as one of five reserves.
But after proving his fitness, the left-hander has been rewarded with a place in the 15-man party.
Bangladesh, boosted by the return of all-rounder Mashrafe Mortaza, have yet to name a captain and vice-captain for the tournament that starts on March 11.
Bangladesh squad: Imrul Kayes, Tamim Iqbal, Nazimuddin, Jahurul Islam, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan, Mahmudullah, Nasir Hossain, Mashrafe Mortaza, Abdur Razzak, Elias Sunny, Nazmul Hossain, Shafiul Islam, Shahadat Hossain, Anamul Haque.
