Cash bonus for Pakistan players
The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced a cash award of 2.5million rupees (£19,000) for each member of the triumphant ICC World Twenty20 team.
PCB chairman Ijaz Butt made the announcement during a visit by the players to Parliament.
"The team deserves a lot of praise for their hard work and effort," Butt said.
"I wish them the best in their future endeavours and hope that they can keep winning matches and bring pride and joy to the nation."
Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani hosted a dinner for the players last night where he announced a separate award of 10million rupees (£75,000) for the team.
President Asif Ali Zardari had already announced cash awards of one million rupees (£8,000) for captain Younus Khan and man-of-the-match Shahid Afridi and 500,000 rupees (£4,000) each for the remainder of the team.
