TwelfthMan: My account

Umpires Tony Hill, Amish Saheba and Mark Benson inspect the playing field on a frustrating second day
Rain has washed out day two of the first Test between New Zealand and West Indies.
With the opening day ending early because of bad light, play had been scheduled to resume 30 minutes early today to make up for the 16.4 overs lost.
But overnight rain, then further bad weather, in Dunedin meant play never got under way leaving New Zealand on 226 for four in their first innings heading into day three with Jesse Ryder on 54 and Brendon McCullum on four.
Daniel Flynn top-scored for the hosts at University Oval yesterday with 95 before becoming Chris Gayle’s third scalp when the West Indies captain challenged the original decision given by umpire Amish Shehab under the review system being trialled.
Television umpire Rudi Koertzen adjudged Flynn had been trapped leg before wicket leaving the 23-year-old left-hander, playing at number three for the first time, five short of his maiden Test century.
Part-time spinner Gayle has figures of 3-42 from 20 overs.
