Great Danes reign indoors
Denmark were crowned champions at the 2006 European Indoor Championships at Lord’s after beating previous holders Hellas (Greece) by 41 runs in the final.
The Danes batted first and posted 103 all out from their 10 overs which always looked like a winning total and so it proved as Hellas were dismissed for 62 in reply.
Earlier in the day, Denmark had reached the final with a three-wicket win against France while Hellas beat Portugal by the same margin.
Belgium edged out Finland by two wickets in the fifth place play-off and Netherlands secured seventh position with a 14-run win against Luxembourg.
