Ireland have suffered a setback after William Porterfield opted to play for his county side Gloucestershire rather than for his country in their forthcoming Twenty20 matches and one-day internationals.
Ireland face Bangladesh A in the 20-over and 50-over format on Friday and Sunday respectively before taking on Scotland and New Zealand in ODIs in early July.
Porterfield said: “It's definitely the hardest decision I've ever had to make, and I didn't think it would come so early in my time at Gloucester.
“I'm just embarking on my professional career, and trying to cement my place in the team.
“The injury to Craig Spearman has given me an opportunity to stake a claim for a permanent position, and I have to take it.”
Middlesex batsman Eoin Morgan is included, as is Surrey wicketkeeper Gary Wilson.
Ireland squad: K McCallan (capt), A Botha, P Connell, A Cusack, P Eaglestone, T Fourie, G Kidd, E Morgan, A Poynter, P Stirling, R Strydom, A White, G Wilson.
