Dockrell to lead Ireland U19
Somerset spinner George Dockrell has been confirmed as Ireland’s captain for next month’s Under-19 World Cup in Australia.
Dockrell, who boasts 45 caps for Ireland’s senior side across one-day international and Twenty20 cricket, is comfortably the most experienced name in a 15-man party that also includes Gloucestershire seamer Graeme McCarter.
Ireland have been grouped with England, Australia and Nepal in the 16-team event, which begins on August 11.
