No play at Clontarf
Ireland’s ICC World Cricket League one-day international with Afghanistan at Clontarf was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
After rain prevented play yesterday, the game had been scheduled to take place 24 hours late.
However, although there were no further showers in north Dublin, the ground remained unsuitable for play and the umpires called proceedings off at 2pm.
Both teams take a point from the encounter, moving Ireland clear of the United Arab Emirates at the top of the table.
