Rain denies Ireland
Ireland’s clash against Canada fell victim to the weather as their one-day international at Dublin was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
The no-result comes on the back of Ireland’s rain-affected draw against the North American side last week in the ICC Intercontinental Cup in which middle-order batsman Andrew White looked to have put the home side in a promising posistion with his second first-class century.
However the rain also intervened in that game after Canada limped to 114 for five on day three only to escape with a draw as rain washed out the final day.
Ireland’s next fixtures see them entertain Kenya in a three-match ODI series beginning at Stormont on August 24.
