TwelfthMan: My account
Scotland have named a strong squad for Thursday’s one-day international against India - but the game is under threat from the weather.
Rain is forecast for Glasgow for much of the week and there are fears that the Titwood clash will be washed out.
The weather has frustrated Scotland several times this season, with their one-day international against Pakistan on July 1 rained off.
Pakistan’s one-dayer against India in Glasgow last month was also abandoned without a ball being bowled, while Scotland’s four-day Intercontinental Cup meeting with the United Arab Emirates barely got started and their encounter against Ireland in Belfast in the same competition finished in a rain-affected draw on Sunday.
Scotland have called up the England-based trio of Navdeep Poonia, Gavin Hamilton and Dewald Nel for this week’s match, which will be the first one-day international played at the Glasgow ground, home of Clydesdale Cricket Club.
Scotland squad: Ryan Watson (captain), John Blain, Gordon Drummond, Gavin Hamilton, Majid Haq, Paul Hoffmann, Neil McCallum, Navdeep Poonia, Dewald Nel, Colin Smith, Fraser Watts, Craig Wright.
