TwelfthMan: My account

The prolific Gautam Gambhir scored his seventh century in nine Tests in India's win over Sri Lanka in Kanpur today
Opener Gautam Gambhir will miss the third Test against Sri Lanka starting next month in Mumbai, the Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced.
Left-hand batsman Gambhir, who scored back-to-back centuries in Ahmedabad and the ongoing Test in Kanpur, has withdrawn from the team in order to attend to his sister’s wedding.
India’s selectors have decided not to make any changes to the team picked for the first two Tests, which means no replacement has been called for Gambhir.
“Gautam Gambhir will not be available for the Test, on account of his sister’s wedding on 3 December,” the BCCI said.
“The strength of the squad for the Mumbai Test will thus be 14.”
The final Test starts on December 2 at the Brabourne Stadium.
