The umpires’ panel for the upcoming World Twenty20 2010 in the West Indies has been confirmed with Marais Erasmus, Rod Tucker and Shavir Tarapore all included on the list.
The trio, who are part of the international panel of ICC umpires, will join their colleagues from the elite panel for the tournament, which takes place between April 30 and May 16.
The match referees for the event will be Ranjan Madugalle, Alan Hurst and Andy Pycroft.
Daryl Harper was not selected for the event due to overall performances - a decision, the ICC stated, that is unrelated to his role as a third umpire in the fourth Test between South Africa and England in Johannesburg earlier this year.
The full list of umpires for the World Twenty20: Billy Bowden, Aleem Dar, Steve Davis, Billy Doctrove, Ian Gould, Tony Hill, Rudi Koertzen, Asoka de Silva, Simon Taufel, Asad Rauf (all from the elite panel), Marais Erasmus, Shavir Tarapore and Rod Tucker (all from the international panel).
