Bangladesh bowler Khan Abdur Razzak is to have his action examined by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
The move comes after the three match umpires had reported his action to match referee Roshan Mahanama after the Asia Cup game between Bangladesh and Pakistan in Sri Lanka on July 17.
Brian Jerling and Gamini Silva were the on-field umpires, while Arani Jayaprakash was the TV official.
“The umpires were of the opinion that the player's action needed to be looked at and it is in the best interests of the player that this is done at this early stage of his career,” said Mr Mahanama.
An ICC statement added: “A detailed review will be compiled within a six week period. This will then be circulated to all ICC match referees and Elite Panel umpires for information and reference.”
Bangladesh lost the match by 76 runs.
