Washout delays Yuvraj return
India’s opening Twenty20 match against New Zealand was washed out after torrential rain in Visakhapatnam.
The match was expected to see Yuvraj Singh return to the India team following treatment for cancer, which has kept the big-hitting left-hander out of cricket since November of last year.
He underwent chemotherapy in the United States, and his recall for the two-match series came as a surprise with Yuvraj not having played a match at domestic level since.
His comeback should now occur in the second match in the series, due to be played in Chennai on Tuesday, before the sides head to the World Twenty20 in Sri Lanka.
