Chennai claim IPL title

Suresh Raina's unbeaten 57 underpinned Chennai's 168 for five, which proved to be 22 too many for Mumbai in the IPL final
Chennai Super Kings were crowned Indian Premier League champions after defeating Mumbai Indians by 22 runs in the final at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai.
Suresh Raina hit an unbeaten 57 and shared a half-century stand with Mahendra Singh Dhoni as the Super Kings posted 168 for five after opting to bat first.
Sachin Tendulkar led a spirited chase, but the Super Kings were immaculate in the field as they restricted the Indians to 146 for nine.
Chennai made a relatively slow start but Raina’s innings, which occupied 35 balls, ensured a competitive total.
Tendulkar accumulated steadily en route to 48. However, his dismissal sparked a minor collapse.
Mumbai inexplicably held back the powerful Kieron Pollard until number eight and his 27 from 10 balls was too little too late.
