Kabir blow for Red Rose
Lancashire new boy Kabir Ali will miss the start of the season due to a knee problem.
The paceman moved to Old Trafford in the hope of revitalising a career that has been hampered by a string of injuries in recent years.

New Lancashire signing Kabir Ali will miss the start of the season due to a knee injury sustained at the Bangladesh Premier League
However, he suffered another setback during the Bangladesh Premier League and has not travelled to Dubai for the Red Rose’s pre-season tour.
“He jarred his knee in the foot holes during his time in Bangladesh,” explained Lancashire cricket director Mike Watkinson. “When he came back to us and started training indoors, it began to swell up.
“He went to see the surgeon for an arthroscopy midway through last week, and he will have to go and see him again. We’re hopeful it is nothing too serious.”
Kabir is back at Old Trafford under the supervision of the club’s medical services director Dave Roberts; it is hoped he will return soon after the LV= County Championship opener against Worcestershire.
