Kenya aiming for glory
Hosts Kenya will be strong favourites in Nairobi when they take on Bermuda in the first match of the inaugural ICC World Cricket League Division 1 on Monday.
Kenya coach Roger Harper is leaving nothing to chance, however, against opponents who ought not to trouble his side unduly.
“It is very important that we treat each challenge the same,” said the former West Indies off-spinner.
“We will take each game one at a time, and I know that if we play to our best, we will be very difficult to beat.
“Each team in this competition deserves to be here and we see every team as a big threat.
“So no matter whom we play, we know we will have to perform well. I view each team as serious competition.”
Kenya captain Steve Tikolo is also anxious not to appear complacent.
“I know that Bermuda have some very good players but I really just want to concentrate on our own game so that we can do everything right on the field,” he said.
