TwelfthMan: My account
New Zealand all-rounder Jacob Oram has been ruled out of the second Test against Bangladesh through injury and is set to fly home to consult a specialist.
Oram suffered back pain while bowling during Bangladesh's second innings in the first Test at the Divisional Stadium in Chittagong and has been for scans in Dhaka.
The 30-year-old, who has been plagued by back problems, pulled up sore late in the hosts' second innings and did not bowl again, but was at the crease as New Zealand completed a three-wicket win to take a 1-0 lead in the two-Test series.
"The back problem is worse than we feared," team manager Lindsay Crocker said.
"Oram will not play in the second Test and he will return home on Saturday.
"He will undergo several medical tests at home and only than we will be able to assess the situation."
The second Test gets under way on Saturday.
