Uncapped batsman Umar Amin has been included in a 15-man squad announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board for the one-day series against Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka had agreed to travel to Pakistan immediately after the tri-nation series in Bangladesh for three one-dayers against Shoaib Malik's side.
Six pacemen, including Shoaib Akhtar, were named in Pakistan's side for the first one-dayer in Karachi on January 21.
"Amin has been rewarded for his excellent form in the domestic circuit," selector Salim Jaffer said.
"This team is only for the other two one-dayers. The team for the other matches would be announced later."
Left-handed batsman Amin was the second highest run-scorer in the five-team one-day cup, scoring 254 runs at an average of 84.66.
Off-spinner Saeed Ajmal is the only spinner in the side while Nasir Jamshed, who was picked for the one-dayers against West Indies in Abu Dhabi, has been dropped from the squad.
Fast bowler Sohail Khan, who was overlooked for the series in Abu Dhabi, is also included in the squad.
Pakistan squad: Shoaib Malik (captain), Misbah-ul-Haq, Salman Butt, Younis Khan, Shahid Afridi, Kamran Akmal, Sohail Tanvir, Shoaib Akhtar, Umar Gul, Iftikhar Anjum, Saeed Ajmal, Khurram Manzoor, Sohail Khan, Yasir Arafat, Umar Amin.
