Pollock lands MCC role
Former South Africa all-rounder Shaun Pollock has become the newest member of the MCC’s world cricket committee.
Pollock is one of 18 current and former players, administrators and umpires who make up the organisation which debates all matters in the interests of cricket and the players.
The 34-year-old retired in February, having taken 421 wickets in 103 Tests. He also played 303 one-day internationals.
Pollock, who is currently on duty for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League, will play for Durham in the Twenty20 Cup this season.
