Bangladesh left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak has been reported for a suspected illegal bowling action, the International Cricket Council confirmed today.

Razzak, 26, was reported by umpires Daryl Harper and Asoka de Silva after the end of the second Test against New Zealand in Mirpur, which finished in a draw yesterday.

"In their report the umpires explained they had concerns over the player's faster ball and, having monitored it during both matches in the series, decided it was appropriate the delivery should be scrutinised further under the relevant ICC process," read an ICC statement.

The ICC will now review footage of Razzak’s action, which will also undergo expert analysis.

If Razzak is found to have an illegal action, he could face an indefinite ban until he rectifies it. He can continue to play while the review is carried out.

Razzak bowled more overs than any other Bangladesh player in this week's rain-shortened Test, taking 1-72 off 25 overs in the first innings and none for 12 off seven overs in the second.
