TwelfthMan: My account
Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara has ruled himself out of next month's one-day series against Zimbabwe.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Sangakkara is still recuperating from an operation to his right index finger in Australia last September.
Though Sangakkara was today confirmed as one of the commentators at the Hong Kong Sixes on November 8-9, he will not be available for selection for the subsequent tour of Zimbabwe. His spot is likely to be filled by Tharanga Paranavithana or Upul Tharanga.
Sri Lanka, who are due to arrive in Harare on November 10, will play five one-day internationals against Zimbabwe with the first match starting at the Harare Sports Club on November 21.
