Sri Lanka call for Pradeep

Sri Lanka have called up fast bowler Nuwan Pradeep to their squad for the one-day international series against India as a replacement for the injured Nuwan Kulasekara.

Pradeep has represented his country three times in Tests but is yet to make his ODI bow.

The 25-year-old will join his team-mates today having recently featured in the A team triangular series with hosts Zimbabwe and South Africa.

Kulasekara suffered a groin strain while attempting a catch in Saturday’s first ODI, which India won by 21 runs.

The second match of the five-match rubber takes place in Hamabantota tomorrow.
