Tennant increases his skills
Cricket Scotland's Andy Tennant has become the first coach in the country to acquire a Level 4 coaching qualification.
The governing body's head of cricket passed the final assessment of the ECB's elite coaching programme following a course that lasted more than two years.
Tennant, 41, who was caretaker coach for Scotland at September's ICC World Twenty20, is now among about 60 coaches worldwide with the award after achieving an 'outstanding' pass mark.
"I am delighted to have completed what has been an extremely long but rewarding journey," the former Scotland bowler said.
"The ECB elite coaching programme is undoubtedly at the cutting edge of coaching and I am excited about using the knowledge and skills I have gained on the course to help Scottish cricket and our elite young cricketers to become even more competitive on the world stage."
