India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has completed his chemotherapy and is expected to return to his homeland next month.
Yuvraj, who has represented India 334 times across all forms of the game, was diagnosed with a non-malignant tumour of the lungs last year, with further tests showing he had cancer.
The 30-year-old has subsequently undergone three sessions of chemotherapy in Indianapolis under Lawrence H Einhorn, who headed the treatment of multiple Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong in 1996.
On Sunday morning, Yuvraj tweeted: “3rd chemo cycles over, back from hospital n I am free. Road to recovery starts now. Can't wait to be back home.
“Thank you 4 all ur love n wishes from the bottom of my heart I'm sure they have worked well with the doctors therapy #livestrong yuvstrong”
