India lose Zaheer

Zaheer Zhan will play no part in the one-day series against South Africa after injuring a leg in the second Test
India strike bowler Zaheer Khan has been ruled out of the one-day series against South Africa due to a leg injury sustained on Test duty.
The left-arm seamer damaged a muscle during the fourth day of the second Test against South Africa at Eden Gardens yesterday and sat out today’s action.
“Zaheer has sustained a muscle strain to his leg and has been ruled out of the ODI series against South Africa,” read a statement from the Board of Control for Cricket in India. “He will be replaced by Shantha Sreesanth.”
India are already without injured opener Gautam Gambhir and Yuvraj Singh, while spinner Harbhajan Singh is also set to miss the first two matches to attend his sister’s wedding.
India are scheduled to play three one-day internationals against South Africa, with the first taking place in Jaipur on Sunday.
